Jeffree Star

Art that makes you uncomfortable and offended is good art. I have always respected artists who lay themselves on the cutting block for the sake of art. My friend Jeffree Star is a good example of this. Jeffree has kept his records independent for years and has never censored himself for mainstream success. A true artist, a true soul. If art were war, I would put my money on Jeffree.

Jeffrey stopped by my house up here in Portland, Oregon while out on his headlining tour last September. I dug into my costume closet and pulled out the camera. Beautiful photos! I’m glad Jeffree Starr is still around making magic. I was also happy to see him in the Tarina Tarantino catalogue a while back. Cheers.

I love how he achieved so much by himself, it’s inspiring.
